"But a Dream"

I have been feeling a lot better after my surgery for my bulging disk. I have still been sore, but definitely better, and able to get out and live life more! I still have a lot of restrictions however, and am basically unable to work until June. I don't know why I have been having  a hard time enjoying this time off, and have been so antsy to get back to work. I am grateful for the current situation I am in, just antsy. Maybe it's because winter  is still lingering. I was reflecting on this picture of some swans I took while visiting my sister and her family, and have been trying to force myself to just enjoy all this time off. I know it shouldn't have to be forced, but for some reason it is. I guess we just all have to remind ourselves to just stop, and enjoy life as it comes.

"But a Dream"

by: Kori Plett

Things were plain and simple, or so it may seem,

Floating down a river, as though life were but a dream.

Just living life happy as can be,

All we really need are you and me.

Just taking life one day at a time,

What more can we ask for, everything even comes in a rhyme.

There's not a grey cloud in the sky,

There's no need to ask the questions why.

All we need to survive are the fish below,

Swimming in the water, to and fro.

And if a storm would come our way,

We just have fly away, no need to stay.

But for now we can just soak up the sun,

In life it may seem as though we have won.

Oh, to live life so happy and carefree,

We just have to trust God will provide for you and me.
